| Dr.O'Brien recently joined the MAST program and contributes assists farmers throughout Kansas with risk and return assessment of alternative methods for crops and livestock and their impact on the environment. He also works extensively with land-related issues such as buying and leasing land. Current research and extension efforts are examining relationships between energy prices and crop inputs, estimating crop yield and fertility relationships, economics of no-tillage, and the economics of various dairy production systems.
