ABOUT CRMIL

The Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University, in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture Risk Management Agency, created the Cattle Risk Management Information Library as a clearinghouse for the large amount varied of information available on the internet related to cattle risk management.

The goal of this cooperation is to provide a central, comprehensive source of information, as well as improve the organization and presentation of web-based material, allowing greater access to cattle producers and associated industry stakeholders.

The site uses a search algorithm to search the internet as well as specific known sites with cattle risk management information in order to find available information. This information is then evaluated for relevance, categorized, and entered into the site's database.

Specific risk categories covered by this site include:

  • Price Risk
  • Market Risk
  • Production Risk
  • Financial Risk
  • Slaughter Cattle
  • Feeder Cattle
  • Cows
The site can also be searched by title, author, or year of publication.
