Estimates for High/Low Factors & Volatility

Art,

Are you forecasting the High/Low Price and Volatility Factors for CRC & RA this year? I’ve used your estimates in the past when printing quotes as they are more accurate than just using last year’s.

If you are projecting those values are they posted on your website?  If so, would you please forward the link to me?

Iowa Crop Insurance Agent

Dear Agent,

I stopped doing estimates once RMA started posting estimates.  RMA is posting estimates for volatility, base price, and high/low factors.

Corn with a March 15 closing is at: http://www3.rma.usda.gov/apps/pricediscoveryweb/CropsInDiscovery.aspx

Soybeans, March 15 closing is at: http://www3.rma.usda.gov/apps/pricediscoveryweb/CropsInDiscovery.aspx

Other crops and closing dates are listed at: http://www3.rma.usda.gov/apps/pricediscoveryweb/ActiveDiscoveryPeriods.aspx

I have had this question from a number of people so I am sending it out to the email list and posting it on the web.
