| Risk is an inherent part of agricultural production. Many forces including the changing structure of agriculture, globalization, changes in agricultural policies, and new technologies have interacted to radically change the risk management environment faced by agricultural managers. In this module, participants will gain a better understanding of the risk associated with various management decisions. Sessions will cover a variety of traditional and contemporary risk management tools and concepts, including diversification, insurance, financing, contracts, futures and options.
