Executive Summary
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY  Continued drought in 2023 had a significant impact on agricultural production for much of Kansas.  Lower than average yields, coupled with a significant decline in value of crop inventory carried from  2022 due to falling crop prices, resulted in noticeable decreases in net farm income for all six KFMA  Associations. As  in 2022, crop  insurance and government program payments helped to moderate  farm level losses. Despite high forage costs, profits from beef cattle production were a highlight for  the state in 2023.   KFMA Accrual Net Farm Income for 2023 was $98,299.    KFMA ACCRUAL NET FARM INCOME by ASSOCIATION & STATE – 2019 to 2023  NW  …
