Kansas River Valley Experiment Field Fall Field DayAll interested individuals are invited to attend the 2026 Kansas River Valley Experiment Field Day on Tuesday, August 11, at 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Rossville Experiment Field (1 mile east of Rossville on Hwy 24, south side of the road). This is a free event, and pre-registration is requested for the catered meal. East Central Experiment Field Fall Field DayAll interested individuals are invited to attend the 2026 East Central Experiment Field Fall Field Day on Wednesday, August 19, at 9:00 a.m. The event will be held at the Ottawa Experiment Field (From I-35 at Ottawa, proceed south 1.7 miles on 59 Hwy, go east 1 mile, and south 0.75 miles). This is a free event, and no pre-registration is required. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., with coffee and doughnuts provided. The program will start at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon after the program concludes. Please contact the East-Central Research Station at 785-242-5616 at least two days prior to this event if accommodation is needed for persons with disabilities or special requirements. 2026 Sorghum Connection Field DayThe Sorghum Connection series, launched by the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission (KGSC) in 2024 in collaboration with K-State Extension and the K-State Department of Plant Pathology, announces a third year of comprehensive field days. The field days focus on data-driven management decisions aimed at improving producer profitability. At each on-farm location in central and western Kansas, participants will have the opportunity to visit nearly 1,000 research plots showcasing the latest agronomic innovations, management practices, and research findings. Featured topics will include hybrid selection and performance, cropping systems, fertility management, and more. In addition, participants will hear from Kansas State University specialists and industry experts while gaining hands-on experience with precision agriculture technologies, including drone-based mapping and spraying applications.
